– Food technologists research and develop new food and beverage products and/or improve the quality of existing products. They may also develop or improve the processing, packaging, storage, investigation of the sensory and nutrition and safety of food in line with government and industry standards.
Food technology was applied for just preserving and adding flavor and color to foodstuff, but now since the development of science and engineering, this technology has been used for drying, decaffeination, self-cooking food, and research in the area of food science.
